Questions
Before you start
- Does it cost anything?
- No. The map is a free community project hosted by Edmonton Tech Wednesdays, and the data is open.
- What do you need from me?
- A website or another public page that shows what you do. Every fact on a profile traces to a public source, so we ask for one with anything you add.
- Will you publish my home address?
- Never. If you work from home, the profile is placed on your area (a neighbourhood or municipality), and the database refuses to store an address for it.
- Who reviews it?
- A moderator reads each new organization against its public sources. Claiming with an email at your own domain verifies you straight away.
- What do I get?
- A profile people can find by sector and place, a pin on the map, a badge for your site, your open roles on the hiring board once you paste your job board, and a mention in the weekly email when you're new.
- Can I be removed?
- Yes, any time: hide your logo, drop your location, or take the whole listing down, from a link on your profile.
