Build with the Edmonton Startup Map

Put the map, a badge or your events on your site, read the data as JSON, CSV or feeds, or ask it from an AI assistant. Free, no key, and every fact links to its public source.

01

JSON API

Read it as JSON

Read-only, no key and open to any website (CORS). Responses are cached for five minutes, wrapped as { data, meta }, and meta carries the licence.

Endpoints
EndpointWhat it returns
GET /api/v1/organizationsSearch and filter the directory: sector, kind, municipality, status, hiring=true, q, limit, offset.
GET /api/v1/organizations/{slug}One full profile with its funding rounds, relationships and sources.
GET /api/v1/jobsOpen roles from companies' public job boards: region=true, company, q.
GET /api/v1/eventsUpcoming events, soonest first: days, category, organizer.
GET /api/v1/fundingFunding rounds with their sources: company.

From a terminal

curl "https://map.techwednesdays.ca/api/v1/organizations?sector=ai-ml&hiring=true&limit=5"

From a web page

const res = await fetch("https://map.techwednesdays.ca/api/v1/events?days=14&organizer=wednesdays");
const { data, meta } = await res.json();
// data: sessions, soonest first. meta.licence says how to credit it.

Lists return at most 100 items per request; page with limit and offset, and read meta.total. Contact emails and moderators' notes are never in the API. Locations are given only for profiles with a real office; area-level profiles carry the area, never a point. Please be kind with the request rate and cache what you fetch.
